At JM Legacy Law, we believe that protecting families extends far beyond legal documents. It means standing up for the most vulnerable members of our community and using our platform to create lasting, meaningful change.
Our Managing Attorney serves on the Board of Directors of Harbour Hope International, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and restoring hope to survivors in Florida and beyond.
About Harbour Hope International
Harbour Hope International provides hope and healing to survivors of human trafficking through holistic resources and collaborative solutions on their journey to self-sustainability. Their work builds a foundation of restoration through unified support, guiding survivors toward spiritual, mental, physical, and financial freedom.
Based in Central Florida, Harbour Hope operates five core programs designed to meet survivors where they are and walk alongside them through every stage of recovery.
Programs That Change Lives
- Community Awareness –
Harbour Hope educates community members, organizations, and agencies on how to recognize the warning signs of human trafficking, how to report suspected cases, and how to respond with appropriate resources. Knowledge is the first line of defense.
- Survivor Care –
From the moment a survivor is identified, Harbour Hope connects them with critical resources including safe housing, counseling, legal advocacy, and medical care—creating a safety net that supports their immediate needs.
- Mentorship Program –
Trained mentors are paired with survivors to provide consistent, compassionate, one-on-one support. These relationships create a foundation of trust and accountability that is essential to long-term healing.
- Life Skills Coaching –
Survivors receive practical training in financial literacy, career readiness, communication, and daily living skills—equipping them with the tools they need to build independent, self-sustaining lives.
- Leadership Development –
As survivors heal and grow, Harbour Hope empowers them to become leaders and advocates in their own right—turning their stories into catalysts for change in the broader community.

Human trafficking is not a distant problem—it is happening in our neighborhoods, schools, and communities right now. Florida consistently ranks among the top three states in the nation for reported human trafficking cases. The average age a child enters trafficking in the state of Florida is shockingly young, and the demand for intervention has never been greater.
As a firm rooted in family protection and passionate about helping victims – especially women and children in this vulnerable demographic, advocacy for survivors of exploitation is one of the most important causes close to our hearts.
